BC.Game benches electroNic as asap poised to join

BC.Game has placed Denis ‘electroNic’ Sharipov on the bench. Sources say THUNDER dOWNUNDER’s Tyson ‘asap’ Paterson is expected to join the active roster as the club prepares for the PGL Singapore Major invitation deadline in early November.

CEO Ali Muhanned framed the decision around timing and qualification for the Major. “electroNic has been one of the most important people in the team off and on the server,” Muhanned said, calling him a positive presence who keeps teammates in good spirits. He added that with more time he would have given electroNic further opportunities and that the change was made for the project, not against the player.

BC.Game sits 36th on the European VRS, where only the top 18 teams will receive invites to Singapore. The club has 1,191 global VRS points, which currently place it fourth on the Asian VRS; five teams from that region will earn Major invitations. Adding Paterson would shift the squad’s regional classification toward Asia and alter the route by which the team could qualify for the event.

The organization has signed up for or qualified for smaller LAN events including ROG Journey Autumn, Stake Pulse Beat III and DraculaN Season 7 to try to add points and match practice before the invite cutoff, which is just over six weeks away.

If Paterson joins, the projected active lineup would be Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev, Azbayar ‘Senzu’ Munkhbold, Ayush ‘mzinho’ Batbold, Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif and Tyson ‘asap’ Paterson, with Wiktor ‘TaZ’ Wojtas listed as coach. BC.Game has not formally confirmed Paterson. Muhanned declined to name a specific incoming player when asked, saying difficult decisions had to be made given the Major timetable.
