Astralis explores replacements for HooXi and jabbi

Astralis is searching for immediate replacements for Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation. Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek is among the players under consideration.

The search follows Astralis’ victory at Stake Ranked Episode 4 in Barcelona on Saturday. The title was the team’s first LAN trophy since 2019. It also lifted Astralis into the top 10 of the global Valve Regional Standings and left the team close to securing a place at the PGL Major Singapore, based on the latest projections.

Astralis is assessing the transfer market as it seeks to avoid losing players without transfer fees. Jabbi’s contract expires at the end of November, while HooXi’s deal runs through the end of the year. Victor “Staehr” Staehr also has a contract nearing its end. He signed an extension in March 2025 that was described as running “until 2027.”

Contract negotiations between Astralis and the players have stalled, according to the sources. The organization is considering changes to its lineup while reviewing potential replacements.

Siuhy recently left Liquid after spending three months on the bench. The Polish in-game leader is looking for a new team after a short spell with the Americas-based organization. He previously led MOUZ.

Astralis did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
