ZywOo MVP as IEM Rio 2026 all‑star team announced - whitemarket

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was named MVP at IEM Rio 2026; Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich and Robin “ropz” Kool made the all‑star team.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was named MVP at IEM Rio 2026 after a dominant performance in Rio de Janeiro. The all‑star team also included Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich and Robin “ropz” Kool, with seven players recognized as EVPs for their match performances.

ZywOo led Team Vitality through the event with a strong statistical showing. He recorded three MVP awards and a top EVP earlier in 2026 and held a 1.42 rating through the first four months of the year. At Rio he played 11 maps, was player of the map five times, picked up four EVPs, posted a 1.25 KPRW, a 1.56 rating in the playoffs and averaged 90.4 damage per round.

Falcons’ Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov topped his team scoreboard on nine of 11 maps in Rio. He produced eight maps above a 1.42 rating, had a worst map of 1.11, and finished as the event’s leading EVP after matches against the two finalists and other top opponents. His playoff rating was 1.28 despite Falcons’ team defeat.

Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich earned his first career EVP after joining Spirit last September. He posted a 1.86 series against MOUZ and a 1.25 performance versus Falcons, contributing to Spirit’s run to the grand final. Robin “ropz” Kool, coming off an MVP at Rotterdam, posted a 1.38 event rating at Rio and maintained a median map rating of 1.23.

Other EVP recipients included Yuri “yuurih” Santos of FURIA, who posted a 1.34 rating in map wins and a 1.25 showing against Vitality; Danil “donk” Kryshkovets of Spirit, who had a 1.40 rating in map wins and a 1.55 quarter‑final series against MOUZ; and Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, who produced a player‑of‑the‑map performance on Overpass and a 1.57 series against a top‑five team.

Event organizers named Vitality’s in‑game leader Dan “apEX” Madesclaire the all‑star captain for his CT-side work and utility use across the tournament. The all‑star roles were assigned with tN1R listed as the closer, donk as the opener and yuurih as the anchor.

ZywOo reflected on Vitality’s start to the year after Rio, saying, “We won four trophies already [this year] and we just feel like we cannot stop.” The tournament also produced notable single‑map performances from younger players such as Matúš “MATYS” Šimko and Dmitry “mizu” Kondratev, and several established players narrowly missed EVP recognition after inconsistent playoff showings.
