BLAST Open Ulaanbaatar 2027 Set for May With $1.25M Prize

BLAST will stage the BLAST Open Ulaanbaatar from May 10 to 23, 2027, in Mongolia. The event carries a $1.25 million prize pool and will feature 16 teams: 11 invited via Valve Regional Standings and five advancing from regional qualifiers.

Qualifier slots are allocated to Asia, Europe, North America and South America, while the remaining teams are selected through Valve’s regional ranking system.

The tournament will be BLAST’s first tier-one competition in Mongolia. The company previously co-hosted a qualifying event in Ulaanbaatar for BLAST Open London in 2025.

In a statement, BLAST described the choice of Ulaanbaatar as reflecting “a wider direction for BLAST Premier in 2027: taking major events beyond familiar destinations.” The organizer has already named Singapore, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong and Malta among its 2027 stops.

BLAST’s 2027 calendar begins with Bounty Season 1 from January 11 to 24, followed by BLAST Open Singapore from March 15 to 28, the Ulaanbaatar Open from May 10 to 23, Bounty Season 2 from August 30 to September 12, BLAST Open Rio from October 4 to 17 and BLAST Rivals from November 8 to 14.

Teams that secure invites through Valve Regional Standings will join regional qualifying winners to compete for the $1.25 million purse and to earn points on the BLAST Premier ranking system.
