Wicadia relieved as Aurora beats NAVI at StarSeries Fall

Ali “Wicadia” Yalçın said he felt relieved after Aurora beat Natus Vincere at StarSeries Fall, ending a run of losses to NAVI earlier this year.

Aurora defeated Natus Vincere at the StarSeries Fall event, snapping a head-to-head run in which NAVI had beaten Aurora multiple times earlier this year. The victory advanced Aurora to the tournament’s upper bracket semi-final against NRG.

Ali “Wicadia” Yalçın said the result brought relief after a period when the team showed strong play but failed to close matches. “We played some good CS sometimes, but we couldn’t finish it. We were almost winning against FURIA and the G2 games,” he added, saying the win was important for the team’s confidence.

Aurora moved from a full Turkish lineup to an international five a few months ago. The roster has been together for about two to three months and Wicadia said daily practice is improving cohesion. “I think we are getting used to each other day by day,” he noted.

The squad has focused on reducing basic errors and improving communication. Wicadia acknowledged that making mid-round calls can be difficult after four years in Turkish teams, but he said English across the roster is solid and improving. “Everyone on the team has good English, and we can communicate daily,” he said.

Players have worked on mental preparation and staying calm during rounds, with each member taking responsibility for individual improvement. Wicadia described in-game composure as an area the team is addressing.

Aurora will meet NRG next. Wicadia warned against underestimating that opponent after NRG’s recent win over MOUZ and said Aurora will prepare match by match. “I think we can be one of the contenders if we keep working hard,” he added.
