Vitality Co-Founder Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide Named CEO

Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide announced on LinkedIn he is the new CEO of French esports organization Vitality; co-founder Nicolas Maurer becomes Chief Strategy Officer and will step back from daily operations.

Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide, a co-founder of French esports organization Vitality, has been named CEO. The change was announced in a LinkedIn post. Nicolas Maurer, also a co-founder, will move to the role of Chief Strategy Officer and step back from day-to-day operations.

In the post Devide wrote: “By becoming Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), he is stepping back from day-to-day operations to dedicate himself to the evolution of our business model and our new developments. Our bond as co-founders remains unbreakable, but our roles are now clearly defined to make Vitality even stronger.”

He wrote he will focus on competitive performance and prioritize sporting results across Vitality’s teams while continuing to engage the club’s global community.

Maurer’s responsibilities as CSO are described as strategic and developmental rather than operational, concentrating on long-term business strategy and upcoming projects. The LinkedIn post did not provide a timeline for the transition or detail immediate operational changes at the organization.

Both Devide and Maurer have served as leaders since founding Vitality. The reallocation of duties assigns day-to-day operations and competitive direction to Devide as CEO, with Maurer overseeing strategy and future business initiatives as Chief Strategy Officer.
