Vitality edge Legacy to stay alive at BLAST Open Porto

Vitality defeated Legacy 2-1 at BLAST Open Porto in Porto, winning Nuke 16-14, losing Mirage 9-13 and closing Dust2 13-8. The result keeps Vitality in Group B’s lower bracket and advances them to a decider against FUT on Monday for a place in the playoffs. Legacy are eliminated from the event.

On Nuke Legacy opened the match with a 10-2 lead. Robin “ropz” Kool and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan had low opening-half figures while Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira, Santino “try” Rigal and Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer produced key rounds for Legacy in the first half. The game swung after the side swap when Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut converted a 1v3 clutch and Vitality closed regulation to force overtime. Vitality won in overtime; Bruno “latto” Rebelatto narrowly missed a 1v3 ace as Legacy failed to convert the final rounds.

On Mirage Legacy won the pistol and recovered from an early force-buy loss, then built a late-half advantage. Dan “apEX” Madesclaire produced a quad-kill that kept Vitality in contention, but Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer posted a high impact rating on the map and try delivered a late triple to help Legacy take the map 13-9.

Dust2 decided the series. Vitality’s T-side executions were more consistent and apEX emerged as a leading contributor in the first half. Legacy’s economy and utility usage broke down during the T rounds, with several risky rifle buys and repeated pistol forces. Try used an AWP for Legacy but could not change momentum as ZywOo, flameZ and apEX combined to secure the 13-8 finish.

Individual numbers reflect the match flow: Legacy’s dumau led the series with 63 kills and a 1.33 rating. Vitality’s top contributors included ZywOo (56 kills, 1.19 rating) and apEX (54 kills, 1.13 rating). Justinas “jL” Lekavicius started in place of William “mezii” Merriman and posted a steady showing as Vitality adjusted their lineup.

Vitality will meet FUT on Monday in a match that determines a spot in the knockout stage.
