Vitality beat B8 2-0; BetBoom advance to IEM Atlanta semifinals

Vitality beat B8 2-0 at IEM Atlanta, winning Mirage 13-5 and closing the series on Dust2 to secure a spot in the tournament playoffs. BetBoom defeated paiN in a three-map series and earned a direct place in the semifinals through the event’s seeding rules.

On Mirage Vitality built an early lead and reached double digits by halftime, limiting B8 to just one round on the attackers’ side before switch. Shahar flameZ finished the series with 36 kills and a 1.57 rating, while Mathieu ZywOo recorded 34 kills and a 1.36 rating. Robin ropz contributed 31 kills and ended the match with a jumping Five-SeveN final shot in a 1v1 that sealed the series.

B8 struggled to match Vitality’s firepower. Danylo s1zzi posted a match-high 32 kills and a 1.24 rating, but four of his teammates recorded series ratings below 0.80. Alexey alex666 had a difficult Mirage with a 1-16 line.

On the B stream BetBoom and paiN played for seeding, with the winner receiving a bye to the semifinals. BetBoom’s Dust2 pick went to the 24th round before they claimed the map, paced by Aleksandr zorte’s 1.71-rated performance. PaiN responded on the second map, taking control in the second half after a 7-5 halftime lead and getting a 1.82-rated display from Rodrigo biguzera to force a decider.

Anubis proved decisive in the third map. BetBoom posted an 11-1 T-side half, with Kirill Magnojez reaching 14 kills early, and closed the map 13-5. Timur FL4MUS led BetBoom across the series with 57 kills and a 1.40 rating. Zorte and Magnojez also posted positive rating lines. For paiN, Rafael saffee and biguzera finished with the team’s highest ratings but fell short in the final map.

The results place Vitality into the IEM Atlanta playoff bracket, while BetBoom will skip the quarterfinals and begin their playoff run in the semifinals. No player quotes were released after the matches.
