TYLOO Qualify for IEM Beijing After FlyQuest Forfeit

TYLOO secured a spot at IEM Beijing after FlyQuest forfeited the closed qualifier grand final when physical damage to the Australia–Singapore network produced unplayable ping.

FlyQuest posted on X: “Unfortunately, our grand final match will not be played. The physical connection between Australia and Singapore is damaged resulting in ping that is unplayable (200ms+). The venue has multiple redundant ISPs, but this issue is affecting all traffic from Australia to Asia. With TYLOO attending FISSURE tomorrow, there is no avenue to reschedule.” Tournament organizers said venue backups could not route traffic from Australia to Asia reliably enough for competitive play.

Organizers confirmed the forfeit awards TYLOO qualification for IEM Beijing, which will take place in the team’s home country. TYLOO was due to attend the FISSURE event the following day, removing a practical window to postpone the final.

This was the second occasion in the qualifier where TYLOO advanced after an opponent withdrew. Rare Atom pulled out of the upper-bracket final because of a scheduling conflict with the FPG 3 qualifier. Before those forfeits, TYLOO recorded wins over Kaleido and DEPO in early rounds of the closed qualifier.

Organizers said TYLOO’s spot settles 14 of the 16 teams for IEM Beijing. The final two places will be decided in the remaining closed qualifier matches, which will be played online in Europe.
