Top Esports Clinches LPL’s Third Seed for Worlds 2026

Top Esports defeated Invictus Gaming 3-1 in the LPL Regional Finals on Sept. 17, securing China’s third berth at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. The win confirms Top Esports as one of four LPL representatives at Worlds 2026.

The Regional Finals feature the four LPL teams with the highest Championship Points that had not already qualified directly for Worlds. Top Esports entered the bracket with the most points and Invictus Gaming held the second-most, placing the pair in the upper-bracket final where the winner would immediately clinch the region’s third seed.

Top Esports closed the best-of-five series 3-1 to take that spot. The victory converted the team’s Championship Points advantage into direct qualification without sending them through the lower bracket.

Anyone’s Legend earned the LPL’s top seed by winning the season final. Bilibili Gaming secured the second seed through Championship Points accumulated across the season. With Top Esports now confirmed as the third seed, three of China’s four Worlds slots are decided.

One LPL berth remains. Team WE and JD Gaming meet on Sept. 18; the loser will be eliminated from Worlds contention. The winner advances to face Invictus Gaming on Sept. 19 for the final slot.

Top Esports will join Anyone’s Legend and Bilibili Gaming at Worlds 2026. Invictus Gaming awaits the winner of Team WE and JD Gaming for a single-series chance to claim the fourth LPL spot.
