Tomaszin had one week to prepare before MIBR’s LAN debut

Tomas “tomaszin” Corna joined MIBR and had one week of practice before the new roster’s LAN debut at FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou. The team faces The MongolZ in its opening match on Sept. 8.

Corna described the short boot camp as “good” and said his teammates made him feel comfortable despite the limited preparation time. He added that the sessions left him eager to compete in Suzhou.

On specific in-game duties, Corna has shifted positions on several maps compared with his role at BESTIA and is working to fit into MIBR’s tactical setups. “I changed a bit of positions on some maps, and I’m trying to play that, but I think it’s going good,” he noted.

Corna spent the previous three years with BESTIA. He recorded a 1.43 rating at the MRQ stage to qualify BESTIA for the Austin Major, but visa issues prevented the team from travelling and the qualification spot went to another side. Corna recalled feeling happy about the performance at the qualifier while disappointed they could not attend the event.

Beyond role changes, Corna identified switching languages as the largest adjustment after joining MIBR. He pointed out the roster includes players with more experience and said adapting communication patterns has been a key part of his integration.

Corna set clear personal objectives with MIBR: help the organisation reach its goals, win tournaments and improve as a player. “I try to help them reach their goals as an organization. And I will try to do my best to win tournaments,” he stated.

MIBR confirmed Corna’s signing ahead of the Suzhou event. The team will test its cohesion in the opening match against The MongolZ on Sept. 8.
