Team Vitality names Fabien Devide CEO; Nicolas Maurer CSO
Co-founder Fabien Devide will become Team Vitality CEO; co-founder Nicolas Maurer shifts to chief strategy officer after nine years as CEO.
Team Vitality announced that co-founder Fabien Devide will take over as chief executive officer, and co-founder Nicolas Maurer will move into the role of chief strategy officer after nine years as CEO.
Maurer announced the leadership change and wrote in the statement: “After nine years as CEO I am handing over the role to Fabien Devide, and I have full confidence in his ability to lead the organisation forward.” He added he will remain involved in day-to-day club life and external representation while focusing on long-term strategy.
Devide will oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on competitive performance, prioritizing Counter-Strike 2. Co-CEO Vas Roberts will continue to lead commercial operations, including sponsorships and partnerships.
Maurer’s responsibilities as chief strategy officer will include developing new business areas, diversifying revenue sources, and expanding academies and infrastructure.
Team Vitality was founded in Paris on August 5, 2013, by Devide and Maurer. The organization fields teams in Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, VALORANT and Rocket League.
The club expanded internationally by acquiring Indonesia’s Bigetron Esports and launched an in-house marketing agency, Rushbee.
In 2025–2026 Team Vitality recorded a run in CS2, won multiple titles, surpassed $10 million in cumulative prize money earnings, and increased investment in academies and infrastructure.
The organization said the clearer separation of duties will allow more focused leadership across competitive and business functions as it grows into additional game titles, regions and commercial activities.
