Spirit beat Liquid 2-0 to reach BLAST Bounty semis

Spirit beat Liquid 2-0 in the first round of the single-elimination quarter-final bracket at BLAST Bounty to advance to the semi-finals. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets led Spirit across the two maps with a 1.76 rating, 107.4 ADR and a +7.03% swing.

The series opened on Dust2, Spirit’s map pick. Liquid took a 2-0 lead after the pistol rounds and secured an early anti-forcebuy win when Georgi “Jorko” Mitev won a 1v1 on B against Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov. After the side switch Spirit won eight attacking rounds to close the map 13-7.

The second map was Anubis, Liquid’s pick. Liquid managed only three rounds on the CT side before half-time. Spirit extended the lead after the break, reaching 12-3. Liquid reduced the deficit to 12-5 but could not force overtime. In a late round Jorko planted on A and faced donk in a 1v1; donk survived an initial hit, returned a headshot to take the kill and completed a last-second defuse to seal the match.

Individual statistics reflected Spirit’s control over the series. Donk finished 42-20 with an 86.8% KAST and a +7.03% swing. Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich posted 29-15 and a 1.40 rating. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov had 27-21 with a 1.04 rating. Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotya and Boris “magixx” Vorobiev finished 21-22 and 27-22 respectively.

Liquid’s notable performance came from Jorko, who ended 27-27 with a 1.16 rating and a +4.37% swing. Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski finished 23-32 with a 1.01 rating. Mario “malbsMd” Samayoam, Johnny “JT” Theodosiou and Keith “NAF” Markovic posted negative kill-death differentials for the series.

With the 2-0 result Spirit advance to the BLAST Bounty semi-finals. Liquid are eliminated from this stage of the event.
