Snappi leaves NiP active roster; club searches for new IGL

Ninjas in Pyjamas announced that Marco ‘Snappi’ Pfeiffer has stepped down from the active roster by mutual agreement to make way for a new in-game leader. The club said it is scouting the player market for a permanent IGL and a replacement for stand-in Roman ‘n0te’ Hamze.

Snappi took over in-game leadership at the start of 2025 after replacing Alejandro ‘alex’ Masanet and remained NiP’s IGL for more than a year and a half. Under his leadership the team reached the quarter-finals at PGL Astana 2025 and won Fragadelphia Las Vegas, HyperX Roman Imperium Cup VI and Stake Ranked Episode 2. The roster stayed outside the top 20 on the VRS rankings for much of his tenure.

The 36-year-old Dane has a playing career that spans nearly two decades. While leading NiP, his average rating against top-20 teams was 0.83. The club moved him to a benched position and confirmed he has not issued a public comment.

Following the announcement NiP lists Rasmus ‘sjuush’ Beck, Kacper ‘xKacpersky’ Gabara and Martin ‘stavn’ Lund as active players, with Roman ‘n0te’ Hamze serving as a stand-in and Richard ‘Xizt’ Landström as coach. Marco ‘Snappi’ Pfeiffer is now benched.

NiP indicated the roster change is intended to improve results on the international circuit and to regain a place inside the top-20 rankings. The organization did not provide a timeline for naming a new leader or for any additional roster moves.
