Shopify Rebellion Gold wins Game Changers NA Stage 2

Shopify Rebellion Gold defeated FlyQuest RED 3-1 on September 17 at Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles to win the Game Changers North America Stage 2 title and secure direct qualification to the 2026 Game Changers Championship in São Paulo, Brazil.

The final was the first Game Changers North America Stage final played on LAN. Shopify Rebellion Gold lost only one series from the start of the Swiss stage through the end of the playoffs. FlyQuest RED collected eight circuit points and remains eligible for qualification through the Last Chance Qualifier.

Shopify began Stage 2 on July 13 with 2-0 series wins over Revitalize GC and SEN Otters. The team’s only defeat in the Swiss stage came on July 27, a 2-0 loss to SwimTrek Blue. SRG then swept ORA Temper and beat Axolotl 2-1, taking Lotus 13-6 in the decider to finish the Swiss portion 4-1 and advance to the eight-team playoff bracket.

In the playoffs SRG did not drop another series. On September 1 the team beat HIMMERS 2-0, winning Sunset 13-2 and Split 13-9. In the upper semifinal SRG met SwimTrek Blue, the only team that had beaten them in the Swiss stage and the Stage 1 champion; Shopify swept the rematch 2-0, winning Lotus 13-5 and Ascent 13-2.

In the upper final against FlyQuest RED, SRG lost the opening map on Abyss 13-2, then won Haven 13-11 and Ascent 13-4 to advance to the Grand Final without a lower-bracket run. FlyQuest reached the final after a 3-0 win over The Spiders in the lower final.

A roster change occurred shortly before the Grand Final when Nicole “Noia” Tierce left the team after her father was admitted to the ICU. Shopify signed former player Sarah “sarah” Simpson as an emergency substitute. Simpson returned to the active roster months after stepping away from competition and had limited time to rehearse roles and setups before the LAN final.

FlyQuest opened the Grand Final with a 13-3 win on Haven. Shopify responded with two narrow victories, taking Sunset 13-11 and Split 13-10 to lead 2-1. On Lotus FlyQuest reached 12-9, but Shopify erased the deficit, forced overtime and closed the map 17-15 to complete the 3-1 series win.

Lucien “vanitas” Campione reflected on the run after the match: “What a journey to one of the mountains I’ve always wanted to climb… every hour poured into ranked, scrims, vod reviews, and so much more has finally paid off.”

Stage 2 is Shopify Rebellion Gold’s first Game Changers North America title of 2026; the organization finished second to SwimTrek Blue in Stage 1. SRG has reached the Grand Final in each of the past three editions of the Game Changers Championship and won the global title in 2023 and 2024. The 2026 Game Changers Championship will take place at Riot Games Arena São Paulo from October 22 to November 1 and will feature 10 teams from the global circuit.

Shopify arrives in Brazil after a Stage 2 run of seven series wins and one loss, including two victories over FlyQuest RED and an upper-bracket playoff finish. FlyQuest earned eight circuit points from the event and remains in contention for the season-ending field through the Last Chance Qualifier.
