Sezgin ‘Fabre’ Kalaycı returns as Eternal Fire coach
Sezgin ‘Fabre’ Kalaycı has been appointed Eternal Fire head coach, replacing Yiğit ‘yT’ Özden. The team is currently ranked No. 67 in the VRS.
Eternal Fire announced Sezgin ‘Fabre’ Kalaycı as its new head coach, taking over from Yiğit ‘yT’ Özden. The organization said the appointment applies to the squad now ranked No. 67 in the VRS.
Fabre previously coached Eternal Fire’s Turkish roster from 2022 until April 2025, when the full lineup signed with Aurora. During that period he led the group to two Major playoff appearances: a quarterfinal at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen under the Eternal Fire name and a semifinal at IEM Cologne while the team competed as Aurora.
The appointment reunites Fabre with Samet ‘jottAAA’ Köklü and Caner ‘soulfly’ Kesici, both of whom he worked with at Aurora. Fabre will coach an English-speaking roster for the first time in his career.
Eternal Fire’s updated roster lists Gareth ‘MisteM’ Ries, Iulian ‘regali’ Harjău, Vladyslav ‘Kvem’ Korol, Caner ‘soulfly’ Kesici and Samet ‘jottAAA’ Köklü, with Fabre as coach. The organization confirmed the roster change and provided no details on contract terms or the length of Fabre’s deal.
No immediate tournament targets or a competitive schedule were announced alongside the coaching change.
