Riot Reveals DJ Sona Remix Inspired by Three Music Acts
Riot Games revealed DJ Sona Ultimate Remix, a Mythic Variant inspired by K/DA, HEARTSTEEL and True Damage. It is scheduled for League of Legends’ Nov. 18, 2026, patch.
Riot Games revealed DJ Sona Ultimate Remix on Nov. 3. The Mythic Variant for League of Legends is inspired by three of the company’s music groups: K/DA, HEARTSTEEL and True Damage. It is scheduled to arrive with Patch 26.23 on Nov. 18, 2026.
Riot released promotional artwork and a video preview. The animated splash art cycles through three versions of Sona, with each look linked to one of the music projects.
The HEARTSTEEL-inspired version features Sona in a black outfit with a yellow hood and warm-colored effects. The True Damage version has short hair, a silver jacket and neon-blue effects. The K/DA version includes a red-and-black outfit with purple effects.
DJ Sona Ultimate Remix is based on the concept of the original DJ Sona skin, which launched in 2015 as an Ultimate skin. The original skin allowed players to switch between three musical forms. Riot has not confirmed whether the new variant will include the same form-switching feature, music or other gameplay elements.
The skin was added to League of Legends’ Public Beta Environment for testing on Nov. 3. Riot has not announced when it will become available in the Sanctum, how long its banner will remain active or whether it will have special acquisition conditions. Further details may appear in the Patch 26.23 notes.
Because DJ Sona Ultimate Remix is a Mythic Variant, players will obtain it through the Sanctum rather than by buying it directly from the regular store. The system uses Ancient Sparks to draw rewards from a dedicated banner. Under the current rules, one Ancient Spark costs 400 RP, and the Mythic Variant is guaranteed by the 40th draw. Players who need all 40 draws could spend up to 16,000 RP. An earlier reward would cost less. This is the maximum cost under the current system, not a price set specifically for the skin.
The reveal follows the Oct. 21 release of “GIRLS (w/ DJ Sona),” a track from K/DA’s new EP, “FIRESTARTER.” Sophie Powers, Sorana and Royal & The Serpent are featured on the song alongside DJ Sona. Riot’s schedule lists an early Spotify premiere for the song’s video on Nov. 3, followed by a wider video release on Nov. 5.
