Red Bull Wings Cup: UK EA FC winner earns Miami trip

Red Bull has opened registrations for the Wings Cup, a global EA SPORTS FC 27 tournament that begins on Sept. 27. UK competitors can qualify through multiple routes for the UK National Final at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London on Nov. 14. The UK winner will earn a place at the Miami World Final in January 2027.

Entry opens Sept. 27 with PlayStation online qualifiers running through Nov. 1, university qualifiers open until Nov. 7 and a series of live Red Bull Wings Cup activations in venues around the UK. Players who advance from the PlayStation open qualifiers and live events enter FACEIT closed qualifiers. The FACEIT stage uses a single-elimination bracket; six players will reach the UK National Final, and one of those finalists will qualify for Miami.

Red Bull is pairing the tournament with retail promotions. Limited-edition Wings Cup cans arrive in stores on Sept. 1 and include a QR code and a unique tab code. Redeeming the code grants 250 EA SPORTS FC 27 Season Points, a Red Bull Wings Cup Ultimate Team kit and a loan player item. EA SPORTS FC 27 early access begins Sept. 18 and the full game launches Sept. 25.

An ASDA-exclusive four-pack offers additional prizes, including a trip for two to the Miami final, 23 pairs of Premier League tickets, Wings Cup jerseys, a PlayStation 5 Pro, DualSense controllers and copies of EA SPORTS FC 27.

Red Bull says the event format is designed to open entry to a wide range of players rather than relying only on established professionals. Live activations and university qualifiers are intended to broaden regional participation ahead of the online and FACEIT stages.

Angry Ginge, who will front the UK campaign for Red Bull, said: “This is a chance to experience it in a completely different way, with anyone able to get involved and compete for the chance to take it all the way to Miami.” Tekkz will join the lineup as a headline competitor; he has won five FUT championships and holds ECL and E Premier titles.

The UK National Final on Nov. 14 will take place at Red Bull’s Gaming Sphere in London. Organizers will publish exact dates and venue details for the Miami World Final ahead of the event.
