Rainhas do Clutch goes international with $50,000 Rio finals
FERJEE’s Rainhas do Clutch expands internationally in 2026; Rio finals are June 23–26 with $50,000 in funding. Four teams qualify May 19–24; registration opens May 13.
FERJEE announced Rainhas do Clutch will open to international teams in 2026, with finals set for June 23–26 in Rio de Janeiro. The event carries a total $50,000 commitment, split into $30,000 in prize money and $20,000 in club share.
Four tournament spots will be decided in regional qualifiers running May 19–24. FERJEE allocated two qualifier berths to South America, one to North America and one to Europe. Registration for the regional events opens on May 13. FERJEE has not published registration fees, the qualification format or participant limits.
The organization presented the $50,000 figure as a combination of direct prize money and separate funds for clubs. FERJEE did not provide a breakdown of how the $30,000 prize pool or the $20,000 club share will be distributed among teams, placements or clubs.
The announcement follows the shutdown of ESL Impact at the end of last year. Since that closure, several organizations have reduced or ended their women’s Counter-Strike programs. One example is the German organization BIG, which suspended its EQUIPA project on May 1; EQUIPA included the core of the team recognized as 2025’s team of the year.
Registration opens May 13, regional qualifiers run May 19–24, and the Rio de Janeiro finals take place June 23–26. FERJEE has positioned the event as an international stop on its women-inclusive circuit, offering prize money for competitors and a separate club share to participating organizations.
