G2 Esports sniper Artem ‘r1nkle’ Moroz said he has returned to form after G2’s 2-1 win over Aurora Gaming at BLAST Open Porto, capped by a 19-16 overtime win on Inferno.
G2 Esports defeated Aurora Gaming 2-1 at BLAST Open Porto 2026. Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač’s squad lost the opening map Anubis 7-13, won Inferno 19-16 in overtime and closed the series with a 13-1 win on Mirage. Aurora’s loss eliminated the team from the tournament.
r1nkle described Inferno as a back-and-forth map with momentum shifting between the sides. He noted Aurora had prepared disruptions to G2’s setups and staged a small comeback during the map before G2 prevailed in overtime. Moroz said the Inferno win was G2’s third straight on that map.
Moroz returned to the active roster after a benching period and has increased his practice time. He plans to maintain his current training routine. Moroz also resumed frequent in-game calls; he handled more of the shot-calling earlier in his career, reduced that role for a period, and has now returned to active communication during matches.
G2 advances in the BLAST Open Porto bracket following the victory; Aurora Gaming was eliminated from the event.
