Project Motor Racing adds nine V8s, Road Atlanta DLC

Project Motor Racing will add nine V8 race cars and a laser-scanned Road Atlanta circuit in a V8 Power Pack DLC on 15 September. Pricing and platforms are unconfirmed.

The V8 Power Pack DLC for Project Motor Racing is due on 15 September. The update adds nine V8-powered race cars and a laser-scanned version of Road Atlanta. The developer has not announced pricing or platform availability.

  • The new cars cover V8 Evo, USV8 and Historic USV8 categories.
  • V8 Evo entries are the 2023 Ford Mustang AU and the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro AU.
  • USV8 TA/2 additions are the 2022 Dodge Challenger TA/2, the 2022 Ford Mustang TA/2 and the 2022 Camaro TA/2.
  • Historic USV8 cars include the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 TA, the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda TA, the 1970 AMC Javelin TA and the 1968 Camaro TA Z28.

Road Atlanta is presented as a laser-scanned track to provide a high-detail representation of the American circuit. The track will join the sim’s existing roster.

Ahead of the DLC launch, Gamescom attendees can try the Lamborghini Temerario in Project Motor Racing on the show floor in hall 6. The studio plans to add the Lamborghini to the game as a free car in September.

The developer is running an event that challenges players to set the fastest lap in a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Prizes for the event include a Spark Audi R8 LMP diecast model.

Since the game’s release last year the studio has issued several updates intended to improve handling and physics. The most recent patch revised driving physics for Le Mans Hypercar entries.

The developer said more information on pricing and platform availability will be provided before mid-September.
