paiN’s IGL Biguzera: ‘Our team has lost trust in each other’

paiN were eliminated by Natus Vincere after blowing a 10–2 lead on Mirage in their most recent match in Europe. The loss extended a poor run for the Brazilian side, which has won only one of its last six matches since qualifying for the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals.

IGL Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt pointed to nerves and communication problems as the main causes of the collapse on Mirage. He described the team’s play as poor and singled out both bad calls and over-communication as factors that undermined performance: “To be honest I felt we were a lot of… I don’t know, nerves maybe. The communication was bad, maybe the calls were bad, everything.”

Biguzera said the issues go deeper than results and affect how players make decisions during matches. “I feel as a team we don’t trust each other anymore,” he said, linking the lack of trust to recent losses and to moments of poor in-game coordination.

Questions about the roster have surfaced among the players, but he left personnel matters to the organization’s staff. He said his focus remains on preparing for the next matches and tournaments rather than on lineup decisions: “It’s something that I feel the staff have to deal with and not the players.”

paiN have kept the same core lineup for most of the year, with only an AWPer change. The team has been bootcamping in Europe to face stronger opponents and increase practice intensity. Biguzera noted the trade-off of that environment: higher-quality practice against tougher teams overseas, and more distractions but easier opposition when the squad returns to Brazil. “There we have our family, our friends, so we have some distraction,” he said, adding that the team must balance those factors while trying to lift its level.

The squad plans to complete a week of remaining European qualifiers before returning to Brazil for local events and practice. The club will enter upcoming qualifiers and tournaments aiming to address communication and trust within the team.
