Oner’s Agency Confirms Arrest Over Online Harassment
Key Player Agency confirmed that police arrested a suspect over malicious posts targeting T1 jungler Oner and referred the case to prosecutors.
Key Player Agency announced on Instagram on Oct. 21 that police had identified and arrested a suspect accused of posting malicious comments about T1 jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-ju. The case was referred to prosecutors after a criminal complaint filed through a law firm on Oner’s behalf.
The agency thanked fans who supported Oner and provided information or reports that assisted the investigation. KPA plans to monitor online posts and comments, collect evidence and pursue legal action in further cases involving harassment of the player.
Oner has faced criticism since the beginning of 2026, with the volume of online comments increasing during the LCK’s third and fourth rounds. T1’s fourth-place finish at First Stand 2026 and its elimination by G2 Esports at the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational, where T1 finished fifth-sixth, led to further criticism.
In August, T1 benched Oner and gave the starting jungle position to an academy player who had performed better in scrimmages. The decision prompted additional comments about Oner’s earlier performances. After returning to T1’s starting lineup, Oner continued to receive online criticism, including comments blaming him for team losses.
KPA committed to protecting Oner so he can focus on competition. Oner has not publicly commented on the investigation or the legal proceedings.
