Oakley signs Team Vitality CS2 star apEX

Oakley has added Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire of Team Vitality to its official athletes roster; financial and contract terms were not disclosed.

Oakley has signed a partnership with French Counter-Strike 2 player Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, the company confirmed after the player posted an announcement on social media.

Neither Oakley nor apEX disclosed the deal’s financial value, contract length, exclusivity provisions or content obligations.

In a social video, apEX reflected on his long Counter-Strike career and highlighted the importance of clear vision while wearing Oakley eyewear.

Oakley confirmed apEX will be part of its athletes roster and represent the brand in marketing activities. The company has not published a formal scope of work; the player may wear Oakley sunglasses, performance eyewear or gaming-specific and prescription options during content creation, training and competition.

Oakley has worked with esports organisations and players before, including a collaboration earlier this year with FURIA and a 2021 sponsorship of Call of Duty player Seth ‘Scump’ Abner.

apEX maintains commercial ties with Skin.Club and with monitor maker ZOWIE, where he has collaborated with engineers and performance staff on hardware for elite competition.

The announcement follows Team Vitality teammate Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut revealing an ambassador partnership with NVIDIA and comes ahead of Team Vitality’s appearance at the IEM Cologne Major 2026.

Global Esports Industry Week will run June 18–21, 2026, alongside IEM Cologne in Cologne, Germany. Oakley and apEX have limited public comments to the roster announcement and the social video and have not released further details about planned campaigns.
