NRG up 18 spots after win over MOUZ

NRG beat MOUZ 2-1 in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall opener, rising 18 places to 33rd in the VRS after gaining 129 points. MOUZ fell two places to fourth, losing 31 points.

NRG defeated MOUZ 2-1 in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall opener. The win moved NRG up 18 places to 33rd in the VRS after a 129-point gain; MOUZ dropped two places to fourth and lost 31 points.

The series opened on Cache, where NRG closed out the map after resisting a late MOUZ comeback. MOUZ recovered from a 6-11 deficit to threaten the result but did not complete the turnaround.

MOUZ answered on Inferno, winning 13-5 and extending their winning run on that map to four matches.

The decider on Dust2 saw MOUZ take only four rounds on the CT side. MOUZ compiled a 6-0 run in the second half to revive the match, but NRG won the final four rounds to secure the series.

Individual statistics were led by Dorian “xertioN” Berman with 52 kills for MOUZ and Adrian “xelex” Vincze with 51; Lotan “Spinx” Giladi registered 43 kills. For NRG, Nick “nitr0” Cannella recorded 50 kills. Michael “Grim” Wince and Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli each had 45 kills, Aran “Sonic” Groesbeek had 34 and Jeorge Endicott 32.

The VRS adjustment reflected the match outcome: NRG gained 129 points and rose to 33rd, while MOUZ lost 31 points and dropped to fourth.

On media day, Nick “nitr0” Cannella said any win there would be “huge for us” and described MOUZ as “a good matchup for us considering all of the tier-one teams.”

Both teams advance to their next fixtures in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall schedule.
