NIP Group to add 4.47 EH/s in Bitcoin mining deal

NIP Group agreed to acquire 4.47 EH/s of operating Bitcoin mining capacity, raising its installed hash rate to about 13.85 EH/s in exchange for up to 247 million shares.

Nasdaq-listed NIP Group Inc. has agreed to acquire 4.47 exahashes per second (EH/s) of operating Bitcoin mining capacity. The deal would raise the company’s installed hash rate to about 13.85 EH/s as it expands digital computing alongside its esports business.

NIP Group will issue up to 247 million shares to the sellers instead of paying cash. The company did not identify the sellers. The definitive asset-purchase agreement was signed in late September and announced in October 2026.

The transaction is the third tranche in NIP Group’s Bitcoin mining acquisition program. It covers mining equipment that has already been installed and is operating. The company plans to connect the equipment to its existing hosting framework.

NIP Group projects that its full computing base could produce about 195 Bitcoins per month after integration. Actual production will depend on Bitcoin network difficulty and other operating conditions.

The agreement includes an updated legal contract covering the rights of the new shareholders. The terms set rules for when and how the sellers may sell their shares and specify their voting rights.

In a statement, co-CEO Hicham Chahine described the acquisition as part of NIP Group’s digital infrastructure strategy. “Scaling our hashrate to nearly 14 EH/s solidifies our position as a significant player in the Bitcoin mining space, while generating tangible revenue that supports our broader transformation,” he said.

Chahine added that the share-based payment structure would allow NIP Group to expand its computing capacity without a cash payment. The company will assess whether the infrastructure can support artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and other applications that require large amounts of computing power.

Carl Agren, COO of NIPG Mining and Digital Assets, said the acquired equipment was immediately operational and could be added to NIP Group’s hosting system with limited ramp-up time. The division is focused on deployment, production stability and using the computing base across different revenue streams.

NIP Group began its infrastructure acquisition program in 2025 and established the headquarters of its Digital Computing Division in Abu Dhabi in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. The company has described Bitcoin mining as part of an effort to reduce its reliance on esports sponsorship revenue and prize money.

The digital assets division operates alongside other diversification activities, including live entertainment projects in China, an esports hotel rollout and a commercial partnership between the company’s Ninjas in Pyjamas esports division and Rainbet.

Earlier in 2026, Ninjas in Pyjamas eliminated operational roles in Sweden and moved central business functions from Stockholm to Abu Dhabi. Grant Rousseau, the esports division’s COO, wrote on X that the technology expansion was not intended to replace NIP Group’s esports identity. “We’re not replacing one industry with another,” Rousseau wrote. “We’re taking the experience, ambition, and entrepreneurial mindset that helped build NIP in esports and applying it to new areas of technology.”
