Natus Vincere vs Spirit headlines IEM Cologne Stage 3 opener

Natus Vincere will meet Spirit in the opening best-of-three at IEM Cologne Stage 3 on June 11, 2026. Sixteen teams begin the final group stage in Cologne, with winners of Stage 3 moving closer to the LANXESS Arena playoffs.

Stage 3 follows two Swiss-format qualifying stages. Eight teams received direct invites: Vitality, Natus Vincere, MOUZ, Falcons, The MongolZ, Aurora, FURIA and PARIVISION. The other eight earned their places through qualification: BetBoom and Monte advanced from Stage 1, while teams including 9z, FUT, Legacy, G2 and Spirit progressed through the second Swiss stage.

All Stage 3 matches are best-of-three. The opening-day schedule on June 11 (local time) pairs PARIVISION with 9z at 11:00 and The MongolZ with BetBoom at 11:00. Vitality face FUT at 13:30 and MOUZ meet Legacy at 13:30. Falcons play G2 at 16:00 while FURIA meet B8 at 16:00. The evening sessions feature Natus Vincere against Spirit at 18:30 and Aurora against Monte at 18:30.

Spirit defeated Natus Vincere in a three-map semi-final at IEM Cologne last year and recorded another victory over NaVi at IEM Krakow. Both organizations enter Stage 3 ranked among the top five teams globally.

Other matchups include Vitality opening against FUT, Falcons under the leadership of Finn “karrigan” Andersen taking on G2 and Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač, and Monte continuing a qualifying run that began in Stage 1.

Stage 3 will determine the eight teams that advance to the LANXESS Arena playoff weekend. Results from the June 11 best-of-three matches will set the first half of the playoff bracket.
