MOUZ defeat Spirit to reach ESL Pro League final

MOUZ defeated Spirit 2-1 in the ESL Pro League Season 24 semifinal on Oct. 11. MOUZ won Dust2 13-7 and Nuke 13-11, while Spirit took Mirage 13-9. The result secured MOUZ’s third grand-final appearance of the season. Spirit will meet Aurora in the third-place match.

Spirit won the opening pistol round on Dust2 but fell 2-8 behind. The team then won five consecutive rounds before MOUZ stopped the comeback with a half-buy victory after Danil “donk” Kryshkovets overextended in Lower. MOUZ closed the map 13-7, with Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás finishing a post-plant situation with three kills.

Spirit responded on Mirage, where donk led the team with 19 kills. Spirit controlled the map and won 13-9, with donk closing the match by winning a one-versus-two situation.

Spirit also won the opening pistol round on Nuke, but MOUZ prevented the team from building a large lead. Oldřich “PR” Nový recorded 17 kills in the first half as MOUZ took a 7-5 lead.

Spirit later levelled the score after clutches from Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia. PR continued to win opening duels and finished the map with 27 kills. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi added a late double kill after losing a one-versus-one earlier in the round, helping MOUZ win 13-11.

Torzsi led MOUZ with 47 kills across the series. PR also recorded 47, while Spinx had 43 and Adrian “xelex” Vincze finished with 36. Zont1x led Spirit with 44 kills, followed by donk with 46.

In a post-match interview, torzsi described the victory as a confidence boost for MOUZ. “We are a new team, so I don’t think it’s going to be the same [as in 2025] against Vitality,” he said.

The final will give MOUZ another meeting with Vitality, which defeated the team in the previous season’s final.
