MOUZ beat Falcons 2-1 to reach BLAST Porto semis

MOUZ beat Falcons 2-1 in the Group B seeding match at BLAST Open Porto to secure a place in the tournament semifinals. The series took place at Porto’s Super Bock Arena as the event moved from BLAST’s Copenhagen studios for the main bracket.

Falcons won the opening map, Nuke, on MOUZ’s pick. MOUZ responded by taking Ancient, then closed the series with a 13-3 victory on Inferno. MOUZ started Inferno on the CT side and limited Falcons’ control in Banana, Mid and Brackets through coordinated utility use and retakes.

On Ancient, MOUZ repeatedly challenged Falcons’ Mid takes and gained rounds by creating and exploiting space. Falcons had lost Ancient earlier in the event to Lynn Vision and Legacy and were unable to reverse those results against MOUZ.

Key moments included Oldřich “PR” Nový stopping a Falcons push through Middle in the second-half pistol on Inferno, after which MOUZ extended their lead to finish 13-3.

Individual statistics reflected MOUZ’s performance across the series. Adrian “xelex” Vincze led with 49 kills, a match rating of 1.36, an ADR of 89.4 and a 77.8% KAST. Oldřich “PR” Nový recorded 39 kills, a 1.31 rating and an 83.0 ADR. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás added 44 kills and a 1.21 rating. Dorian “xertioN” Berman contributed key rounds on the defensive halves.

Falcons produced notable individual numbers but did not win the series. René “TeSeS” Madsen had 33 kills and a 1.06 rating, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov posted 34 kills and a 1.02 rating, and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač finished with 27 kills and a 0.76 rating.

With the win, MOUZ advance directly to the BLAST Open Porto semifinals and will face one of the quarter-final winners. Falcons move into the quarter-finals and will begin their playoff run on Friday as the tournament continues at the Super Bock Arena.
