Monte’s win over paiN raises Europe to 18 Singapore Major slots; the Americas fall to eight or nine. Legacy will miss next month’s $1M XSE Pro League in China due to passport issues.
Monte’s victory over paiN at the Cologne event increased Europe’s allocation for the upcoming Singapore Major to 18 teams, up from 17. The result reduces the Americas’ expected invites to either eight or nine and alters the qualification picture ahead of remaining Stage 2 matches in Cologne.
Current slot projections stand at Europe 18, the Americas eight or nine, and Asia five or six. If Legacy lose their next match to TYLOO, the Americas would drop another invite, tightening the field for North and South American teams aiming to reach Singapore.
Previously, we reported that the Brazilian team Legacy withdrew from the XSE Pro League because of passport issues. Legacy had been scheduled to face M80 in the first round of the Chinese LAN, which offers a $1 million prize pool. The two teams are also meeting in Stage 2 at Cologne.
Major qualification slots are determined by regional performance and results at lead-up events such as the Cologne Stage 2 matches. The final distribution of invites will be confirmed once remaining fixtures conclude and any eligibility issues, including Legacy’s passport situation, are resolved.
