MIBR signs tomaszin from BESTIA for IEM Beijing qualifier

MIBR have signed Argentinian rifler Tomas “tomaszin” Corna from BESTIA, replacing benched Breno “brnz4n” Poletto. He will debut at the IEM Beijing Closed Qualifier on Sept. 2.

MIBR announced the signing of Tomas “tomaszin” Corna from BESTIA and confirmed he will take the place of Breno “brnz4n” Poletto on the active roster. Corna is scheduled to make his MIBR debut at the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier, which begins on Sept. 2 in Beijing.

Poletto was moved to the bench on Tuesday after the club cited an underwhelming start to the season. MIBR confirmed Corna joined the active five immediately ahead of the qualifier.

Corna spent three years with BESTIA and recorded a 1.16 rating across that period. MIBR listed him as a rifler in the lineup alongside Felipe “insani” Yuji, Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo, Linus “LNZ” Holtäng and Lucas “nqz” Soares, with Nestor “LETN1” Tanić as coach.

The club stated the signing is intended to increase the team’s firepower before the international qualifier. Corna will be available for selection when MIBR begins play in Beijing on Sept. 2.
