MIBR beats The MongolZ in FISSURE Playground 3 opener

MIBR defeated The MongolZ 2-1 in the Group B opener at FISSURE Playground 3 on Sept. 9. The series ended Ancient 5-13, Mirage 13-10 and Inferno 13-10 after overtime. The match was MIBR’s first LAN series with new signing Tomas Corna (tomaszin) in the lineup.

The MongolZ controlled the opening map on Ancient, taking it 13-5. MIBR reversed momentum on Mirage, winning 13-10 to force a decider. Inferno required overtime to produce a winner, with the final score 13-10 in MIBR’s favour.

Tomas Corna posted a 0.55 map rating on Ancient, then improved to 1.30 on Mirage and 1.06 on Inferno, finishing the series with a 0.98 overall rating. Lucas ‘nqz’ Soares completed a 1v3 clutch in Inferno overtime. Carlos ‘venomzera’ Eduardo and Felipe ‘insani’ Yuji recorded match ratings of 1.26 and 1.23, respectively.

For The MongolZ, Anarbileg ‘cobrazera’ Uuganbayar had a series rating of 1.37 and Usukhbayar ‘910’ Banzragch posted 1.34. The MongolZ committed several late misplays in Inferno overtime that led to lost rounds.

MIBR are set to face 9z next in a match that will affect playoff qualification. The MongolZ will play fellow countrymen 5star in their next Group B match. Earlier on Sept. 9, 9z defeated 5star and Legacy beat magic in a separate three-map match.

FISSURE Playground 3 continues its group-stage matches on LAN, with teams competing for knockout spots and seeding.
