Magixx lauds tN1R after Spirit clinch PGL Astana playoff
Spirit in‑game leader magixx praised tN1R’s recent form after a 2–1 win over FURIA secured a PGL Astana playoff spot.
Boris “magixx” Vorobiev praised teammate Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich following Spirit’s 2–1 victory over FURIA on day three of PGL Astana 2026 in Astana. The result secured Spirit a playoff berth and additional off-days before matches at the Barys Arena.
Spirit reached the knockout stage after earlier group wins over The Huns and MongolZ. The deciding match began on Dust2, where Spirit controlled the T side. Problems emerged on Overpass when in-game communication weakened on the CT side, but Spirit reversed fortune with a strong T-side showing and closed the series on Mirage after early pressure from FURIA’s YEKINDAR.
Magixx described the communication lapse as a central issue during the shaky periods. He reported that in some rounds players provided only brief information: “Just info without anything else, no ideas, no setups, no calls, no asking for flashes. Just raw info.” He characterized the CT half on Overpass as “super bad” and credited the team for recovering on the T side and improving on Mirage.
Spirit plan to use the extra days off to review footage and practice specific scenarios. Magixx and support player S0tF1k will focus on what went wrong against MongolZ and FURIA to refine decision-making and on-field communication ahead of the live-stage playoffs.
Magixx highlighted tN1R’s form since joining Spirit in September, noting an upward trend from earlier, less consistent performances. He called the player’s recent month “pretty impressive,” pointing to contributions of ideas and moments where those ideas were implemented successfully.
Spirit enter the playoffs as the defending Astana champions. The team will play at the Barys Arena with the stated aim of addressing communication issues before facing stronger opponents in the knockout rounds.
