Liquid and NiP Exit; Logitech G Play Connect Moves to Playoffs
Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas were eliminated from the Logitech G Play Connect group stage in Warsaw. The $100,000 LAN advances to a single-elimination playoff bracket.
The group stage of the Logitech G Play Connect event in Warsaw concluded with B8 and Inner Circle topping their groups and eight teams advancing to the single-elimination playoffs. The $100,000 tournament will continue with best-of-three quarter-finals and semi-finals, and a best-of-five grand final.
B8 finished Group A undefeated in map play, allowing only Luminosity to reach double-digit rounds against them. Luminosity and M80 also advanced from Group A after each posted 3-2 records. Inner Circle won Group B, ending the round-robin run with a loss to EYEBALLERS after they had already clinched a top spot.
Group B saw three teams finish 3-2. EYEBALLERS were eliminated from playoff contention on tiebreakers after losing head-to-head matches to BBL and 3DMAX, which moved on to the quarter-finals along with Inner Circle.
Liquid failed to reach the knockout stage after a heavy loss to BBL in their final group match. The North American squad competed with stand-in VLDN and without coach Viktor “flashie” Tamás Bea. Liquid remained in contention for a playoff place until that final match. Ninjas in Pyjamas finished the group stage 1-4, with their lone win coming against Metizport. GamerLegion also missed the playoffs; Fredrik “REZ” Sterner was absent from some matches due to food poisoning.
The playoff schedule begins on September 19, 2026, with quarter-finals in Warsaw. Luminosity will face BBL and 3DMAX will meet M80 on that day. Semi-finals are scheduled for September 22 and the grand final for September 23. The remaining teams will compete for the $100,000 prize pool and ranking points that affect qualification for later events.
