LFL 2026 Summer posts lowest viewership since launch

LFL 2026 Summer generated 1.19 million hours watched, the lowest total since the competition began. That was a 10% decline from the spring split. Average viewers fell 4.9% and peak viewers dropped 9.7%. The most-watched game, a Week 3 group-stage match between Joblife and ZYB, peaked at just over 47,000 concurrent viewers.

The Joblife–ZYB match drew extra attention when community figures provided additional coverage. Joblife owner Toma “JLTomy” Abdellaoui and ZYB head coach Yasin “nisqyy” Dinçer offered alternative broadcasts that coincided with the peak. Joblife and ZYB were eliminated before the later rounds, and other matches registered substantially lower peaks.

No playoff match ranked among the tournament’s most-watched games by peak viewers, and neither finalist-Galions nor TLN Pirates-placed in the top five teams by average viewers. Galions won the LFL 2026 Summer title, defeating TLN Pirates 3–1 in the final. The only playoff map Galions lost occurred during that series.

Galions had already secured an invitation to EMEA Masters 2026 Summer as the reigning EMEA Masters Spring champion. Because of that prior invite, the LFL qualification slot passed to Skillcamp, which finished fourth in the split. EMEA Masters 2026 Summer will be held online from September 21 to October 23 and will include 42 teams from Europe’s national competitions.

The LFL remains the most-watched national League of Legends competition within the EMEA Masters structure. Livestream viewership for the French league has declined for seven consecutive seasons. At its peak in LFL Spring 2024, the competition reached 231,100 concurrent viewers; that peak figure has fallen by roughly 80% over the following three years.

Organizers cited roster departures among the factors behind the audience decline, naming the exits of Karmine Corp’s main roster and Gentle Mates. Organizers plan to publish detailed match and viewership data for the summer split. Teams and league managers are preparing for EMEA Masters and next year’s competitive calendar.
