Legacy earned the first grand-final spot at FISSURE Playground 3, defeating MIBR after overtime on Inferno.

Legacy defeated MIBR in an overtime decider on Inferno to claim the first grand-final spot at FISSURE Playground 3. The match took place in China as part of the knockout stage. Legacy will face the winner of BETBOOM and G2 in Sunday’s final at 09:00 local time.

The best-of-three went the distance across Nuke, Ancient and Inferno. On Nuke MIBR appeared in control until Legacy won two late rounds on the lower bombsite. At 7-9 Legacy completed a 2v5 retake and Andrei “arT” Piovezan secured a 1v2 at 10-10, helping turn the map in Legacy’s favour.

On Ancient Legacy led 9-4 at halftime. MIBR responded in the second half as Lucas “nqz” Soares and Linus “LNZ” Holtäng produced several impact rounds, erasing the deficit and forcing the series to a decider on Inferno.

Inferno featured strong individual performances from both sides. Tomas “tomaszin” Corna had multiple notable plays on the A site for MIBR, while Legacy found answers across the map to push the game into overtime.

In overtime Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira closed the series with a match-ending 2v5 on the B bombsite, securing Legacy’s narrow victory. Across the match MIBR failed to convert several multi-man situations into round wins, including instances that left them unable to close out rounds despite having numerical advantage.

The win sends Legacy through to the title match at FISSURE Playground 3 on Sunday at 09:00 against the winner of BETBOOM versus G2.
