Legacy Beats FURIA 2-1 to Claim EWC Third Place

Legacy secured third place at the Esports World Cup with a 2-1 win over FURIA in the bronze match, losing Ancient 9-13 before posting 13-9 victories on Nuke and Dust2.

The series opened on Ancient, FURIA’s map pick. FURIA took a 4-0 lead after two opening entries by Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and a pistol-round win. Legacy recovered and won five rounds to keep the half close, briefly taking a 9-8 lead in the second half. FURIA rebuilt their economy and closed the map on defense, with Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato and molodoy anchoring the final rounds for a 13-9 finish.

Nuke shifted in Legacy’s favor. Legacy led 7-5 at halftime. Santino “try” Rigal opened the second half with a triple in the pistol round and added another three kills in an anti-forcebuy, pushing Legacy to an 11-5 lead. FURIA responded with a triple from Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and a four-kill round from molodoy, but Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira produced a four-kill round that reached map point and closed the map 13-9.

Dust2 decided the series. FURIA started 4-1, but Legacy recovered on defense to lead 7-5 at halftime. n1ssim produced several swing rounds in the second half while try maintained steady impact. Legacy finished Dust2 13-9 to complete the 2-1 series win.

Individual numbers highlighted contributions. try recorded a 1.33 rating in the series and finished the Esports World Cup with a 1.26 rating across 14 maps. n1ssim posted a 1.70 rating on Dust2 and averaged an +8.29% swing on that map. molodoy supplied key opening entries and high-impact rounds for FURIA, and KSCERATO and FalleN contributed important defensive rounds.

Both teams are Brazilian-majority rosters. They previously met at BLAST Open London, where FURIA won 2-1. Legacy’s win awarded them third place at the Esports World Cup; FURIA finished fourth.
