KSCERATO wins second straight Thunderpick World Championship MVP

Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato won his second straight MVP award at the Thunderpick World Championship after FURIA defeated BETBOOM 3-2 in the final in Malta.

The tournament marked KSCERATO’s second consecutive MVP award at the event. He also won the award at the 2025 edition, held in Malta in October.

KSCERATO entered the final with a large lead in the MVP race after averaging a 1.52 rating across FURIA’s first three series. He also earned six player-of-the-map awards across the team’s first seven maps.

He opened the final with a 1.83 rating on Dust2, where FURIA won 13-6, and earned another player-of-the-map award. On Mirage, KSCERATO recorded a 1.85 rating in the first half as FURIA built a 10-2 lead. BETBOOM reduced the deficit after halftime, but FURIA won 13-11.

Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov challenged KSCERATO for the award after a strong tournament. Magnojez finished the final with 90 kills and a 1.23 rating, while KSCERATO posted 82 kills and a 1.13 rating across the five-map series.

FURIA took the opening map on Dust2 before BETBOOM won Ancient in overtime. BETBOOM then moved ahead on Nuke, where Magnojez produced several defensive multikills.

FURIA tied the series on Mirage. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo secured the final rounds with a triple kill in a 2v4 situation on the A bombsite, giving FURIA a 13-11 win.

The deciding map, Cache, featured several force-buy exchanges. FURIA built an advantage on the attacking side by repeatedly targeting the B bombsite. FalleN won a 1v2 late in the first half, and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis later stopped a BETBOOM attack with a flank. FURIA closed the map and won the series.

The victory ended FURIA’s wait for a title that had lasted since BLAST Rivals Season 2 in November 2025. FURIA received $250,000, while BETBOOM earned $125,000 as runner-up.

KSCERATO has won four EVP awards in 2026 and has finished eight LAN events with a rating of at least 1.20. His 1.34 rating at the Thunderpick World Championship was his highest result in those events.
