KSCERATO: FURIA are playing on confidence and instinct

FURIA beat MOUZ 2-1 at PGL Masters Bucharest to reach a second straight grand final, where they will face Nemiga.

FURIA beat MOUZ 2-1 at PGL Masters Bucharest to reach their second straight grand final after winning the Thunderpick World Championship. The Brazilian team will face Nemiga in the final.

The semifinal included several changes in momentum, with both teams winning eco rounds. FURIA also won several clutches and post-plant situations. On Dust2, the team secured more T-side rounds before closing the match on the CT side.

KSCERATO attributed FURIA’s recent results to improved individual form and confidence. “I think that we have the confidence and if you see the gap, you’re going to get it,” he said. “It is good sometimes, sometimes it’s bad, but this time it works. I think that we’re getting a little bit of luck as well.”

FURIA made several small mistakes on Mirage, according to KSCERATO, but recovered on Dust2. He highlighted yuurih’s trades into the sites as one reason the team won important rounds.

Danil “molodoy” Golubenko also contributed to the victory after returning to form following a minor surgery for eye problems. KSCERATO added that the team has focused on rebuilding the AWPer’s confidence and has not placed emphasis on his mistakes.

“We’re not focused much about mistakes and other stuff because we want him to get confidence,” KSCERATO said. “If he makes mistakes sometimes, it doesn’t matter, even though we’re going to joke about it. But I’m very happy for him.”

FURIA’s players have faced a busy schedule, and KSCERATO described the team as tired. He said they are relying on instinct during matches instead of following a rigid plan, pointing to their approach on Cache, where one player creates an opening while another provides support.

“Everyone’s overcooked, I’ll say, but we’re giving our best during the game,” he said.

Nemiga have won matches against established teams and have performed well in difficult situations, according to KSCERATO. He described the team as young and praised its aim.

“They have hot aim, I’m not gonna lie,” he said. “They’re playing very good, but we have to play our best.”

The final is among FURIA’s remaining matches before the end of the season. KSCERATO also confirmed that captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo plans to retire at the end of the campaign.
