jL Could Take apEX’s Singapore Major Sticker
Justinas “jL” Lekavičius could receive Vitality’s 2026 Singapore Major sticker after replacing apEX during paternity leave. Two more series would make him eligible under Valve’s rules.
Justinas “jL” Lekavičius could receive Vitality’s autograph sticker for the 2026 Singapore Major instead of Dan “apEX” Madesclaire after standing in for the French captain during his paternity leave. He needs to play two more series at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 to meet Valve’s eligibility requirement.
The possibility became more likely on Monday, October 26, when Vitality lost 2-1 to FUT Esports in the Swiss stage. The result left Vitality with a 2-1 record and guaranteed at least two more series in Bucharest. jL has already played three series for the team at the tournament.
Valve’s Regional Standings system counts players who have appeared in at least five of a team’s last 10 series when determining its active lineup. If jL plays in Vitality’s next two matches, he is expected to be included among the team’s five starters in the rankings issued on November 2.
Those rankings will help determine invitations to PGL Major Singapore 2026, which is scheduled to begin on November 24. Autograph stickers are tied to the five starters registered for the Major. jL could therefore receive a sticker, while apEX could miss out on one for the event.
A social media post from Stake Esports attributed the following joke to jL: “It was so nice for Dan to have a kid just so I could buy another Supra for my garage.” The Toyota Supra reference relates to the money players can potentially earn from Major sticker sales.
Vitality will return to action on Tuesday, October 27, in the fourth round of the Bucharest Swiss stage. A win would secure a playoff place and guarantee at least one additional match. A loss would send Vitality into a deciding Swiss-stage round. The team’s opponent had not been confirmed when Monday’s matches were being played.
If apEX returns before jL plays five series, the sticker lineup could change. ApEX could still compete at the Singapore Major if he is not listed among the five starters because tournament rules allow teams to register substitutes. That could enable him to return to Vitality’s playing lineup.
jL joined Vitality temporarily after apEX stepped away following the birth of his first child. Before joining, jL agreed to play for the team on the condition that he would not become its in-game leader. “Before I joined, I said there’s one rule: I’m not going to be the IGL of the team. And they said, ‘Okay,’” he said.
apEX is expected to return for BLAST Rivals Hong Kong before the Singapore Major. He has described balancing family life with professional Counter-Strike as a personal priority: “The truth is balance in my life has always been one of the most important things.”
