Jimpphat credits confidence after Aurora beats Vitality

At the StarSeries Fall LAN event, Aurora advanced to the grand final after beating Vitality in the upper-bracket final. Jimpphat posted a series-high 1.36 rating in the match and helped secure the win that keeps Aurora out of the consolidation final and the same-day double-header on Championship Sunday.

Aurora reached the upper bracket after earlier wins over Natus Vincere and NRG. Avoiding the consolidation final gives the team extra time to rest and prepare for a best-of-five final instead of playing a best-of-three earlier the same day.

Jimpphat credited steady practice and focused preparation for the tournament. He noted the event carries VRS points and invites linked to the Hong Kong event and the Major, which increased the team’s focus on preparation.

He described a change in his on-field approach, saying he has been playing more aggressively and taking an active lurking role. Jimpphat said he sought entry frags and worked to convert rounds when Aurora trailed. On Nuke he pushed from Door, Hut and Mid to create openings. “For me, it’s important that I play really aggressively because that’s when I play the best,” he said.

The player outlined internal changes after a loss to G2 at BLAST Porto. The roster held a frank meeting about repeated mistakes and agreed to tighten up. Jimpphat described working closely with teammate ash on strategy and mental preparation, calling ash a key partner behind the scenes: “We are working together and talking a lot about CS and about certain moves and how to be mentally on the game when it’s needed.”

Jimpphat tempered expectations by noting Aurora is still a new lineup and cannot assume wins against every top opponent. He warned that a single victory does not guarantee future success: “If we played them tomorrow, this win wouldn’t matter at all, because then we need to beat them again, and that’s the important game.”

He said he wants to use the current momentum to present a refreshed Aurora in the final and to continue learning from each match. “I just want to play as a new Aurora and show how good we can actually be in the really important game, obviously the final,” he added.
