GIANTX names UTAMED official education partner through 2026

UTAMED will be GIANTX’s Official Education Partner through December 2026, with its logo appearing on team jerseys at LEC matches and across GIANTX content channels.

European esports organisation GIANTX has signed Spain-based online university UTAMED as its Official Education Partner in a deal that runs through December 2026. UTAMED’s logo will appear on the clavicle or shoulder area of GIANTX jerseys during competitions such as the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) and at other tournaments. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The agreement covers branding in live competition and digital integration across GIANTX’s content platforms. UTAMED will be featured on the organisation’s social channels, in official broadcasts and within other digital assets. The partners also plan original programming, including a YouTube series that will use gaming-style language to present topics on education and professional development alongside entertainment content.

GIANTX said the partnership aims to reach younger audiences who engage with games, streaming and online communities, and to present study-related information within formats familiar to those viewers. The organisation noted the arrangement will connect UTAMED’s educational offerings with GIANTX’s event exposure and media distribution.

José Ramón Díaz, GIANTX’s chief executive, described the agreement as bringing together two projects with roots in Malaga and Andalusia and said the partnership aligns with the organisation’s goal of connecting with new generations in their own language. UTAMED is a private online university based in Spain with ties to Malaga and the Andalusia region.

GIANTX was formed in 2023 after the merger of Giants Gaming and Excel Esports and fields teams in League of Legends and VALORANT. The organisation has previously worked with consumer brands including Maggi, KitKat, Hot Wheels and HSBC UK. GIANTX said the UTAMED deal is the first dedicated education or university partnership announced by the organisation or its predecessors.
