GamerLegion’s Tauson Wants NAVI Rematch in IEM Atlanta Final

GamerLegion reached the IEM Atlanta 2026 grand final in Atlanta after a series of matches held from May 11 to May 16, 2026. The roster beat SINNERS on May 11, fell to Natus Vincere on May 12, then beat Astralis and Liquid on May 13 to qualify for playoffs. On stage they defeated paiN on May 15 and Legacy on May 16 to secure the grand final berth.

The loss to NAVI on May 12 sent GamerLegion to the lower bracket, where consecutive wins kept them alive in the event. The team’s playoff run included back-to-back victories over Astralis and Liquid before the wins over Brazilian sides paiN and Legacy.

In the semi-final against Legacy, GamerLegion lost Mirage decisively, then recovered to win Inferno and close the series. Tauson called the Mirage map “not good enough,” blaming mismatched aggression and missed mid-round communication for the early collapse.

GamerLegion regrouped between maps and improved their in-round discussion, which Tauson credited for the comeback on Inferno. He described the Atlanta final as the first major grand final he has reached with GamerLegion after nearly two years with the team.

Tauson credited Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, who joined earlier this year and assumed in-game leadership duties from ztr, with tightening the team’s structure. According to Tauson, Snax focuses on mid-round control and setting the round plan, replacing a looser, player-dependent approach.

On the possibility of facing NAVI in the final, Tauson expressed a preference for a rematch, saying a win over NAVI would feel more deserved and that the squad wanted “to get revenge” after the earlier loss.

GamerLegion’s recent results include a third-place finish at Stake Ranked Episode 1 and a semi-final appearance at BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1. Tauson added, “I hope we didn’t hit our peak out. I think we’re going in the right direction.”
