G2 beat 5star 2-0 and Alliance beat magic 2-0 to secure the final playoff berths at FISSURE Playground 3.

G2 and Alliance secured the last two playoff places at FISSURE Playground 3 after straight-set wins that closed the event’s group stage in China. Both teams advanced to the quarter-finals with 2-0 victories on 10 September 2026.

G2 eliminated 5star with wins on Inferno and Ancient. 5star opened strongly on Inferno, but G2’s map comfort and coordinated play turned the match in their favor. Matúš “MATYS” Šimko finished the series with 38 kills, and G2 took Ancient by a clear margin to complete the 2-0 result.

Alliance completed a lower-bracket run by defeating magic 2-0. The first map, Ancient, was chosen by magic and went to overtime after Alliance held an 11-4 lead and then withstood a comeback. Alliance controlled Inferno on the T side in the second map. Sean “eraa” Knutsson led Alliance’s impact on Inferno, while Simon “twist” Eliasson made important defensive plays to close the match.

With the group stage concluded, the quarter-final draw on 11 September 2026 pairs G2 with FURIA and Alliance with MIBR. Winners will advance to semi-finals on 12 September, where the G2 or FURIA victor will meet BETBOOM and the Alliance or MIBR winner will meet Legacy. The grand final is scheduled for 13 September 2026. Quarter-final ties are scheduled as best-of series.

5star reached the G2 matchup after a lower-bracket run that included upset wins over The MongolZ and Astralis. Magic entered the event with recent attention from performances in China but were stopped by Alliance in the final group-stage match. The tournament continues on its planned schedule as teams prepare for the knockout rounds.
