FURIA Clinches Final Spot at Worlds 2026

FURIA advanced to the CBLOL grand final and secured Brazil’s second berth at the 2026 World Championship by defeating LOUD in the lower-bracket final. The result fills the 19-team roster for Worlds 2026. The CBLOL title match against LOS on October 10 in Rio de Janeiro will determine Brazil’s seeding for the event.

FURIA’s path through Split 2 began with back-to-back regular-season losses to LOS and Vivo Keyd Stars, then shifted as the team won five straight series to finish the stage 5-2. Regular-season victories included matches against LOUD, Fluxo W7M, RED Canids, paiN Gaming and LEVIATÁN. In the playoffs, FURIA opened with a 3-0 sweep of RED Canids in the upper bracket, lost 3-1 to LOS and dropped to the lower bracket. FURIA won a five-game rematch with RED Canids, 3-2, and then beat LOUD in the lower-bracket final to clinch the Worlds spot.

The CBLOL grand final on October 10 in Rio will decide which Brazilian team takes the first seed at Worlds and which takes the second. The CBLOL champion will advance directly to the Swiss Stage. The runner-up will enter the Play-In Stage alongside the third seeds from the LEC, LCS and LCP, where only one team advances to the next phase.

FURIA’s season includes multiple international appearances. In March the team won the Americas Cup 2026 with a 3-0 final victory over Cloud9. FURIA also won CBLOL Split 1 with a 3-1 series over LOS, which qualified the squad for the Mid-Season Invitational in South Korea, where it finished in the 7-8 range. The team took part in the League of Legends event at the Esports World Cup in July but did not progress past the group stage after losses to G2 Esports and Dplus KIA.

Worlds 2026 will be held in the United States from October 15 to November 14. The Play-In Stage opens at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles. The tournament then moves to Allen, Texas, for the Swiss Stage, quarterfinals and semifinals. The grand final is scheduled for Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

With FURIA’s victory in the lower-bracket final, the field for Worlds 2026 is complete. The CBLOL final will determine which Brazilian team receives the more direct path into the Swiss Stage and which must play in the Play-In Stage.
