FalleN to retire end of 2026, aims to make every event count

FalleN will retire at the end of 2026 and plans to focus on remaining tournaments after FURIA’s 0-2 loss to G2 in the FISSURE Playground 3 quarter-finals.

FalleN announced he will retire at the end of 2026 and plans to focus on his remaining tournaments after FURIA were knocked out 0-2 by G2 in the FISSURE Playground 3 quarter-finals in Suzhou, China. The 35-year-old saw his team surrender an 11-7 lead on Ancient and lose 3-13 on Dust2.

He called the opening map the turning point. “I guess we had to win the first map to actually have a chance in the series,” FalleN reflected after the match, adding that G2 played far better on Dust2 and left FURIA with few openings.

The quarter-final exit followed an earlier defeat to Legacy in Suzhou. FalleN acknowledged Legacy’s strong form and identified lost rounds and tactical misreads as issues the squad must fix to regain on-field synergy.

FalleN outlined a travel sequence that took the team from Paris to Porto to China and described the schedule as demanding. “It’s definitely difficult to travel around every week,” he added, while noting that arriving at an event determined to win makes the travel easier to manage.

With retirement scheduled for the end of 2026, he noted his perspective on tournaments has shifted. “It’s always a mix of emotions… I try to put my emotions aside and work as well as I can every day to help the team,” FalleN stated, and he added he will focus on helping teammates in the remaining events this season.
