Falcons, FURIA to meet in PGL Astana quarter-finals

Falcons and FURIA will meet in the PGL Astana 2026 quarter-finals on May 15 in Astana. The match is a rematch after Falcons defeated FURIA 2-0 in the IEM Rio third-place match. Both teams completed the Swiss stage with 3-1 records.

The event moved from the Swiss stage into a single-elimination bracket seeded by Swiss results. Quarter-final matches are scheduled for May 15: MOUZ versus Aurora at 05:00, Spirit against G2 at 08:00, 9z versus magic at 11:00, and FURIA versus Falcons at 14:00, according to the tournament schedule.

Falcons’ 2-0 win over FURIA at IEM Rio was also the final appearance for Damjan ‘kyxsan’ Stoilkovski with Falcons. That result sets up a direct rematch in Astana between the same two squads.

Two teams finished the Swiss stage undefeated. 9z and Spirit each went 3-0 and were seeded accordingly; 9z will face magic and Spirit will play G2 in the opening round. Aurora qualified as the final team out of the Swiss stage and will open the quarter-finals against a reshaped MOUZ roster.

Seeding for the knockout bracket was determined by Swiss-stage records. All quarter-final winners will advance to the semi-finals.
