Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide Named Vitality CEO; Maurer Moves to CSO

Vitality chairman and co-founder Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide will serve as CEO. Co-founder Nicolas Maurer becomes Chief Strategy Officer to focus on the group’s business model and new projects.

The French esports organization Vitality named co-founder and chairman Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide as chief executive officer and announced that co-founder Nicolas Maurer will move into the role of Chief Strategy Officer. The change was posted on LinkedIn.

Devide will take responsibility for day-to-day operations, overseeing team performance and competitive priorities while managing efforts to grow fan engagement.

Maurer will step back from daily management to concentrate on evolving Vitality’s business model and on new projects. ‘By becoming Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), he is stepping back from day-to-day operations to dedicate himself to the evolution of our business model and our new developments,’ Devide wrote on LinkedIn.

Devide wrote that his priority as CEO is to restore a clear focus on competitive results and to continue building the club’s community worldwide. The reorganization separates operational control, which Devide will hold, from strategic planning, which Maurer will lead.

Both men are co-founders of Vitality. The organization has not announced additional leadership changes.
