Evil Geniuses, G2 and Gen.G join USA Esports Alliance

Evil Geniuses, G2 Esports and Gen.G have become club partners of the USA Esports Alliance, adding North American teams and education programs to the group’s membership.
Evil Geniuses, G2 Esports and Gen.G have joined the USA Esports Alliance as club partners, expanding the Alliance’s roster of North American organisations. The additions were announced ahead of Global Esports Industry Week, which runs 18–21 June 2026.
Evil Geniuses, founded in 1999 and based in Los Angeles, competes in VALORANT (VCT Americas), 2XKO and Pokémon UNITE. The organisation has a history of grassroots and college-adjacent programs.
G2 Esports fields a North American VALORANT roster in VCT Americas. The team is coached by Josh “JoshRT” Lee, who is scheduled to lead the USA National Team at the Esports Nations Cup in November. G2 also operates G2 Minnesota in the Call of Duty League and has run a U.S.-based Rocket League program since 2016.
Gen.G, a South Korean organisation with an office in Santa Monica, competes in Fortnite, Apex Legends and the NBA 2K League in North America. The group has made investments in U.S. esports education, most recently partnering with Arizona State University’s GAME School in downtown Los Angeles.
The three clubs join an Alliance that includes operators such as 100 Thieves, TSM, Team Liquid, Cloud9, FlyQuest, Dignitas, NRG, Misfits, M80, Spacestation and Ghost, along with collegiate esports programs across the country.
USA Esports has pursued recognition as a National Governing Body from the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. The organisation has also entered a partnership with KeSPA, South Korea’s official esports governing body, to work on national team selection systems, delegation exchanges and youth and scholastic esports programs.
In an official statement, USA Esports wrote: “The American esports ecosystem is strongest when its best operators are coordinating with one another, and we’re glad to welcome three more legendary organisations to the table as we keep building.”
Global Esports Industry Week will take place alongside IEM Cologne, with the main conference on 18–19 June at the Hyatt Regency. The additions to the Alliance coincide with planned events and national team activity on the U.S. esports calendar.
