Donk: I can still improve after Esports World Cup win

Spirit defeated FUT 3-1 to claim the Esports World Cup title. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets was named tournament MVP and called the final a difficult match.

Kryshkovets noted Spirit had limited time to prepare after finishing an earlier match late, which gave FUT an advantage in preparation and the map veto. He added FUT banned Dust2 and opened the series with an unexpected Cache pick.

Kryshkovets described FUT as ‘a great team’ that is ‘sharp as hell’, and as young and hungry, factors that kept the match close.

On Anubis, Spirit punished FUT players’ tendency to overpeek, converting several aggressive plays into favorable numbers, including a 3v5 that shifted momentum. Kryshkovets declined to reveal whether the team had prepared for those scenarios, saying ‘I don’t want to reveal anything.’

He addressed timing issues on the attacking side, explaining rounds can change quickly and sometimes finish with only 15–20 seconds remaining. He noted late-round finishes are a common T-side experience, particularly on Ancient.

Kryshkovets described his form at the event as ‘great’ but added he still sees personal and team areas to improve and does not intend to stop working on them.

The CS:GO final ran alongside Spirit’s Dota grand final. Players watched part of the Dota series, had phones removed before the CS:GO match, and only learned that Spirit’s Dota team won their third The International title after collecting the trophy.
